My name is Michael Chen, and I’m a dentist focused on oral surgical procedures, mostly the removal of wisdom teeth and other difficult teeth. I was inspired to choose this career because I enjoy working with my hands—I even considered being a carpenter—and I’m also interested in medical health, so dentistry felt like the perfect combination of both. I have a special interest in oral surgery, as it allows me to combine hands-on technical skills with helping patients through more complex dental procedures. One piece of advice I always share with patients is to keep breathing and relax their shoulders, as people often tense up during treatment. Outside of work, I enjoy surfing and fishing.
