Dr Rumesh Wanaguru

My name is Dr Rumesh Wanaguru, I’m a general dentist. I graduated from Sydney University in 2021. Dentistry appealed to me because it combines healthcare with problem-solving and hands-on work. I liked the idea of a career where I could help people directly, work with precision, and see tangible results from my work every day. I have a special interest in difficult extractions and restoring broken down teeth with well prepared and natural looking crowns. I enjoy helping patients achieve a long lasting and healthy smile. One piece of dental advice I would give is that flossing regularly is one of the simplest things people can do to protect their teeth and gums. It helps prevent decay and gum disease in areas a toothbrush can’t reach, and it makes a big difference to long-term oral health. My hobbies outside of work include aviation, and I’m really interested in plane spotting, as well as travelling when I get the chance. I find it a great way to switch off and recharge outside of work. People are often surprised to learn that I’ve probably spent too much of my life rewatching Seinfeld.
